Your teacher returned for the fourth year in a row to West Dover, VT, teaching a history of the B’way musical for the Elderhostel Organization. While there she sang her one-woman show, “Gershwin Galore,” and also performed operetta with the New York Light Opera. In addition, she has produced a sequel to her teaching video, a DVD, “Classical Singing Applied to the Pop Voice, Part II: The Quest Continues.” It can be purchased at this website.
Stephanie will be presenting a master class in January 2014 at the NATS Winter Workshop in collaboration with the NOA (National Opera Association) in New York City held at the Roosevelt Hotel. Her class will focus on "letting your standard classical technique be the pivot for contemporary styles of singing".
Coming out in February 2014 look for a new book called THE VOCAL ATHLETE: APPLICATION AND TECHNIQUES FOR THE HYBRID SINGER by Plural Publishing. Several of Stephanie's warm-ups and vocalises will be included in this new book, along with some examples recorded by her.
In March 2014, Stephanie will make her presentation, MEET MARNI! A Celebration and the Performing and Teaching Career of Singer Marni Nixon. This will be at the NATS Regional Conference at Hofstra University in Long Island.
